Now Available: Brightwave Chrome Extension

Research never happens in one tab. You're reading a 10-K in one window, scanning a transcript in another, pulling up a research note from last quarter, and somewhere in the middle of all of it you have a question you'd love an analyst to answer in two minutes instead of two hours. The Brightwave Chrome Extension was built for exactly that moment.
Starting today, you can pin Brightwave to your browser and bring your full research stack with you across the web. Highlight a paragraph in a filing and send it straight into a project. Ask a question without switching windows. Drop a URL into a chat and let an agent read the page, summarize it, and pull out what actually matters. Everything stays connected to your existing Brightwave data room, so nothing you capture in the browser gets lost.
This release also ships a meaningful set of additions to the desktop experience. We've been quietly testing these with design partners for the last few weeks, and the feedback has been strong enough that we're rolling them out to everyone alongside the extension.
Additional New Capabilities
- AI image generation. Agents can create diagrams, visual summaries, and illustrations and save them to your data room. You can also provide a reference image for more targeted results.
- Keyboard shortcuts. Press ⌘/ (Ctrl+/) to see all available shortcuts. Quickly create projects and chats, toggle the sidebar, and more.
- Per-conversation reasoning effort. Control how deeply the AI thinks before responding, from Minimal to X-high, or leave it on Auto.
- Quick access popup. Launch Brightwave from anywhere on your desktop with a global shortcut.
- Menu bar / system tray. Keep Brightwave running in the macOS menu bar or Windows system tray for quick access without a visible window.
- Desktop notifications. Get notified about Brightwave events even when the app is in the background.

Improvements
- Better citations. More reliable inline citations when agents reference your documents.
- Spreadsheet previews. More accurate formula values in spreadsheet previews, and generated files are now validated before saving.
- Faster responses. Performance improvements across the board for snappier agent replies.
