Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Agents — Plus JSON and XML Support

We recently announced Excel Agents — specialized agents that build real financial models with live formulas, conditional formatting, and multi-sheet architectures. We've now expanded that capability across the full Microsoft Office suite, and added native support for structured data formats.

Microsoft Office Agents

Brightwave agents now produce professional Word reports, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel workbooks directly from your research conversations.

These aren't summaries pasted into a template. Agents write real files — Word documents with structured sections and cross-references, PowerPoint decks with native layouts and charts, Excel workbooks with live formulas and conditional formatting.

Upload your firm's templates and agents build from them, preserving the formatting your team already uses. No more copying findings into Word, rebuilding charts in PowerPoint, or manually constructing models from AI-generated numbers.

Teams trialing Office agents are running full deal workflows end-to-end — uploading earnings transcripts, 10-Ks, and investor presentations, and getting back formatted Word reports, comparative PowerPoint decks, and multi-sheet Excel models from a single prompt. The outputs go directly into their IC process with minimal rework.

JSON & XML Support

Structured data files are now first-class research inputs. Upload JSON and XML files — API responses, financial data feeds, regulatory filings, configuration files — and Brightwave agents cite specific fields and values with the same precision as PDF citations.

Not everything lives in PDFs and spreadsheets. Structured data from internal systems, third-party providers, and public sources often arrives as JSON or XML. Previously, that data required preprocessing before Brightwave could use it. Now you upload it directly. Agents reference specific nodes, fields, and nested values — every claim traces back to the exact data point, not just "according to the uploaded file."

Both formats include an interactive tree viewer so you can browse the structure and verify what the agent is referencing.

Try It

These capabilities are live now. If you want to see Office agents or structured data support on your own deal data, reach out to your Brightwave rep — we'll run through it together.

If you're not yet on Brightwave, schedule a trial. Bring your documents and templates — we'll build a full deliverable set from your actual workflow so you can see exactly what your team gets back.
